How was everyone's 4th of July weekend? Mine was OK...the family and I all went up to our new place up in the mtns. The first few days was nothing but work, we are converting the workshop into a guest quarters >:(But I guess that is what happens when you go in on some property/cabin with someone else. It is a nice workshop to, fully insulated with a wood stove, A/C (not that you need it there), T.V. hookup, etc. We did take the 4th off to play finally...we took the kids into town for the parade, my little one had a blast once she figured out that you were suppose to grab the candy that was being thrown out, in fact she started getting greedy and wanted more LOL She'll be 2 yrs old in 2 weeks, so it's not like she gets to eat the candy, but she was having fun collecting it and that is what counts Then we loaded up my bike, quad, and duaghters electric jeep and went out for a picnic and ride in a pit that we found in which people ride in. The kids had a blast and didn't want to leave until we mentioned the fireworks were that evening so we needed to clean up a bit so we can watch them. We discovered that the fireworks can be seen from our front porch up in the mtns 11 miles from town, so that's where we watched them..my oldest loved them and the little one was more thrilled with the stars you could see LOL...we don't see many stars here in the big city So the 4th was the best day of the 5 days we were up there, better than nothing I guess Once we get all the projects done, we should have more relaxing days up there. It's an awesome area, almost everyone has a quad/bike and rides around the neighborhood...it's next to national forest, which is temporarily closed right now, but will be awesome to be able to just ride from the cabin into NF once it opens back up to ATVs. It will probably be 2 years from now before we start looking solely up there in N. Id for land, I can't wait (I know, I'll have to wait though LOL ).
