Tom's (bootleg) Trail is open. Riding the road is very dusty already.
The lower trailhead of #319 is open to where it connect to Tom Trail.
Trail #27 is open.
Trail #228 is open to the Giant White Pine campground. The section of trail #228 that connects to trail #27 and parallels road 768 heading west is open but has difficult spots. One fallen tree was too big to cut out which requires climbing the steep embankment up and around the tree. There are a few other log hops too. The guys where getting tiring of cutting trees and took to hopping the smaller ones.
Most of the trails had been cleared the week before but a strong windstorm during the week fell tons of trees. So take a chainsaw with you if you are riding the Palouse trails.
The trails are still a little slick. Another week and the traction will be prefect, but too many downed trees will slow you down.
