My last ride of the season and I get a flat rear tire ten miles out. Unless we have a nice indian summer during the next few weeks, I guess I'll be starting the new season next year with a brand new tire. If anyone wants to ride, and my schedule permits, give me a holler.

I too got a flat, must have been in the air. my tire was low to start, and comming down Hells finished it off. At least I made my whole ride. It may have been the last weekend for a "big" mountain ride. Weather says Snow and 17 degrees for thursday.

The same day my friend road out 10 mi on a flat tire, this 70 yr. old dirt biker practiced geting off of my db. on the wromg side? The front. My right hand and left sholder, are geting back to norm. (after four weeks) Buy spring I well be back as good as new. Don"t quit just becuse every one thinks you are to old. If you are going to ride when you are 80 you have to when you are 70. badwes.

I was wondering how you we feeling. I think you forgot about that bloody knee. And how are the tweaked handle bars. I was about to make you an offer on that "wrecked" bike.

you're only as old as you allow yourself to become As for end of riding season, hmm...I remember when I lived there I would still fire up the bike and ride even when there was a couple feet of snow...although it did make it tricky if you found a soft spot or an icy spot. I usually rode around on the snowmobiling trails around my house since we had over 10 acres to ride on, I had many trails running around there I also remember one spring when we were trying to get over one of the passes to get over to horse haven and we ran into about 3 foot of snow real quick...we obviously had to turn around as the progress was real slow and a lot of work, not to mention we figured the snow was only going to get deeper So I was flying back down and hit a nice wet/icy corner and almost lost my bike down the ledge....there would have been nothing at the spot that it was aiming at to stop it any sooner than about 100 feet down...luckily the foot pag dug in to find a little dirt to stop it, I was dragging along with it in hopes to hold it back as well...my old man caught up and had to help me drag it to safety as both wheels were hanging over the edge and I was standing on ice, so I didn't want to risk losing grip and letting go of the bike while by myself That was the closest I have ever come to losing a bike Now I live here in AZ where we ride year around...summers you just have to get out real early or go to a track at night unless you have a light on your bike, then you could do some night riding. Some may think being able to ride year around is a luxury, but I miss the change in seasons and snowmobiling/skiing for a while. Still seems like I was able to ride the dirtbike out there in the NW for at least 9 months of the year...so the break to do the snowmobiling was always good as a change of pace, then back on the bike

Well I didn't get to try the new tire last fall so I guess I'll be starting the season with it. Thank goodness I ride a Honda, I don't really want to have to ride after dark. Maybe I'm crazy but I prefer to see where I'm falling.

I rode last year ... and I fell down a time or two. the year before I also rode ... and I also fell down a few times. but I didn't fall down last year near as many times as I did the year before (or the year before that, and so on). maybe I am improving.
