Hey guys, just thought of a good date to have that avery ride. I was thinking the weekend of the 14th and 15th of august. We leave early satarday, ride to the camp site. Set up camp...go ride till we get tired. Stay over night, get up ride some more. And then come home...sound like a plan. If you want the details they have been previously posted. ...i believe they are in the trail tails section.

What's a good time of year for this event? June, July? I need to arrange now for the vacation time.

I guess it would be ok...since you dont have to go if you dont wanna?

Brent, Most people will not make a commitment till it gets close to time for the ride because things happen. You make the date that works for you and others will have to try and make it work for them. I think your August idea is good for camping out in the raw (without a camp trailer ). If you don't give out to much detail, it will force people to contact you personally to get more information. It will help you get a head count and find out who is coming for the ride. So at this point - all you need is a date, type of ride and general location. Post it on the Riders Calendar in this section. As time gets closer, you will need to start planning more details of your ride. We will all be there to help you. It will be lots of fun.

We had a small turn-out for this ride. Krash's bike was having a temper-tantrum so he couldn't lead the rides. Two of us rode the tunnels to Avery for lunch the first day. The tunnels were fun. The second day the trip took us to Shefoot Mountain. What a view. Several trailheads are accessed from there. Turner Peak, like Shefoot, had an incredable view. We found out the trails from Turner Peak are closed now to ORVs. They are unmaintaned and going back to nature. The weather was hot and a little dusty. But the Huckleberries were good. ;D

yeah i figured out whats up with my bike, looks like i need new rings, i was afriad of that. some how i knew that time would be soon. Only problem is that its sittin on a wiseco 3 over bore...which you cant get anymore. Too bad. Looks like i might need a new bore...or new bike. Its just gonna sit probably until next year. The only rings i can get for it are sittin a shelf in california for like 100 bucks so i told them to stick it. Im gonna bore it again if i half to.
