Guys,
I need help getting the trails ready for the Ladies Ride at Canfield. There should be three volunteer riders per group with one chainsaw mounted on a bike per group. We will be clearing Trails A & B. Trail A usaually needs tread work each Spring because it has sections of single track trail on steep sidehills. There are several springs and muddy spots that cause small mud slides and fallen trees. Trail A may not be used depending on the trail conditions and the experience of the ladies showing up for the trail ride.
I need this work done the week before the ride which is Saturday, April 10. Meet at Nettleton Gulch Parking Lot at 9:00 AM. Bring gloves and lunch. We will go for a ride after we finish the trail clearing.
Also, I need you guys to be there for the Ladies Ride to help gals out when they need it.
Please post if you are willing to help with the trail work and/or the Ladies Ride.

I know you're not gonna believe this ... I'm on call for the weekend for trail clearing ... I want to help, but back to back weekends are out of the question with my schedule. unless I swap and do trail clearing and forego the 'ladies day out' ride (which is ceratinly doable). either way I must take the pager one or the other weekend. However, if I make a swap, it will throw me off for ALL the other scheduled rides this season.

I was thinking about ATVs. Unfortunately ATVes are not allowed on the trails there. They can only ride the roads.

So far there are 5 of us with 3 chainsaws committed to clearing trails. If we can get 5 more guys to commit to helping clear the sawed logs and branches, we can clear all the trails on the Canfield Trail System by noon and go for a ride after lunch. What do you think? We need 3 groups of 3 riders with one chainsaw per group. I plan help, but I also want to take pictures of you guys working to clear trails. It will be good PR for us to show the FS and the public what we do for them.

Guys, there is a change of events in. After talking to some gals from motorcycle shops - they would like to attend but need to have the ride held on Sunday, April 18 instead of Saturday, April 17. I don't see a problem with it being changed if the rest of you don't either.
