Lately Ive developed this things for early 80's XR500Rs preffereably an 83 or an 84 if someone has one they know of or might be willing to sell let me know or PM me or something i might be interested in purchasing one.

give me a couple months to get back into the swing of things and I might make ya a deal. Im thinkin a new bike would be nice. but at the moment my life is consumed with POWDER.

How much work are you willing to do to make it run?
A friend I do business with has an '86 XR500 but the engine needs rebuilt. Seems the rod is broken and it needs new rings. He says he'll let it go for $200 bucks.
The other one I knew of has already been sold.

im willing to do the work i just dont want to dump bookoo bucks into it. Does it look good? how good of shape is the suspension etc... could you find out pls??

I tried to get hold of Brian today but he had gone to lunch just before I arrived.
Left my card but no call yet. I'll see if I can try again tomorrow.

Still haven't seen nor heard from Brian.
He's the guy with the XR500.
Seems like Christmas I saw him last.
I don't work with him, I buy supplies from the vendor he works for.
I'll keep you posted, but don't hold your breath.

Finally saw Brian today. Can't do it this week or weekend but any afternoon next week I can get over there to see the bike.
