The forest Service will have to be approached, but This trail is too good to lose. I rode it about a month or two ago. the trail itself is in good shape, the brush however is very thick, This trail would connect the parking area at OhioMatch and Hayden Creek too SouthChilco . So If anyone is intrested this will be a spring thinning job if the FS approves.

I've heard that before. That's OK, you'll be in front and miss all the good stuff.

the trail is mainly a single-track w/ a couple of rutted spots, cutbanks and alot of overhanging brush. A ATV more then likely would not be feasible. there are however, roads that intesect the trail as it climbs the mt. these roads would work well to drop people off so they could work there way down, ATV's would be great for this.

I have been throwing around the idea of building a romovable saw rack for my front fender. If it turns out okay i can send you guys some pics of it. I think its a great idea. Id build a rack just up from the fender, and run the bar of the saw down the fork of the bike. This will work good for my bike because the head light is on top of the number plate. I could also do a "prototype" for those of you that have new bikes with an elevated mount so you can still see at night

Krash, everyone is converting to rear mounted chainsaw brackets. Front mounted chainsaws create an imbalance problem - too much weight on the front tire. Scott and I saw a rear mounted bracket on a Department of Transportation bike on that ride we took last August up in Horse Haven. It looks easy enough to make. The design is simple. It also serves as a rack for hauling other stuff. Pretty cool!
